Don Song

Dr. Don Song brings over 30 years of experience in clinical research and medical practice, spanning both hospital settings and clinical research organizations. Since joining Everest in 2010, he has led the clinical trial safety data monitoring and medical coding team, with a core focus on ensuring the highest quality of clinical trial data through rigorous oversight and scientific rigor. In addition to his leadership in data quality and coding, Dr. Song is responsible for the strategic development of Everest’s scientific and medical training programs. These programs are designed to deepen the clinical trial teams’ understanding of the medical, clinical, and scientific backgrounds of the studies they support—helping to drive informed, high-quality execution at every stage of the trial process.

Dr. Song earned his Ph.D. in Pharmacology and Therapeutics from the University of British Columbia and completed his postdoctoral fellowship at the Banting and Best Diabetes Centre, University of Toronto. He holds a medical degree and, earlier in his career, practiced as a cardiologist and served as an assistant professor at the affiliated hospital of Qingdao University. An accomplished researcher, Dr. Song has authored more than 10 first-author publications in peer-reviewed journals. His extensive scientific background and clinical insight continue to contribute to Everest’s mission of excellence in clinical research and data integrity.
